At Bubby’s we value spending time in nature. We are lucky on Vancouver Island to have an incredible natural play environment, which enriches our children’s play experience!

At Bubby’s we spend at least 90 minutes outside everyday! Sun, Rain, Snow, no matter! Out we go!

At Bubby’s we enjoy exploring music and how it brings us together. Bubby’s has partnered with the Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM) to bring a 30 minute weekly music program to our classroom!

Once a week, children aged 3-5 participate in small-group multisport and soccer programming with coaches who tailor classes to every child's skill level!

Shelby Isbister - CEO and Licensee of Bubby’s Early Learning Childcare Inc.

Hi! I'm Shelby. I have been working with children since 2012, gaining experience across a variety of settings, including supporting youth in care, working with foster families, and providing one-on-one and classroom support for children on the spectrum.

I hold my Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) and Educational Assistant (EA) certifications, along with CPR First Aid and Mental Health First Aid for Youth.

As both an educator and a parent, I’m deeply passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and feel a true sense of belonging. Bubby’s was built from that vision — a place where families feel supported and children are cared for with intention and heart.
